Hi, I’m Blanche.
For much of my life, travel was something I dreamed about more than something I actually did. It felt literally… a world away. Like many people, I spent years focused on work, responsibilities, schedules, and everyday life. The idea of exploring the world felt exciting, but also a little intimidating.
Eventually, I decided to stop waiting for the perfect time and start saying yes to new adventures.
What began with a single trip grew into a passion for discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and building confidence through travel. Along the way, I’ve wandered the streets of London, explored the Scottish Highlands, admired the beauty of Paris and Florence and Rome, stood along the Cliffs of Moher, and discovered charming towns and hidden gems I never knew existed. The people I have met along the way, have become long-time friends.
I “travel” more than I “vacation.” Exploring and encountering awe-inspiring events and situations. Little neighborhoods and non-touristy locations. Sometimes when I leave to fly home, I have a melancholy about my new-found destinations, I know I will surely miss. I am forever changed by the experience.
What I’ve learned is that travel isn’t just about the destination. It’s about growth, courage, curiosity, and realizing you’re capable of far more than you think. Every stamp on a passport and every boarding pass represents an opportunity to learn something new about the world—and about yourself.
That’s why I created Window Seat Therapist™.
This website is a place to share travel inspiration, practical tips, personal experiences, destination ideas, and favorite travel products that have helped make my journeys easier and more enjoyable. My hope is to encourage others—especially first-time travelers, solo travelers, and those discovering travel later in life—to step outside their comfort zone and experience the joy of exploring somewhere new.
Whether you’re planning your first road trip, your first flight, your first international adventure, or your next great getaway, I’m glad you’re here.
So grab your passport, find your window seat, and let’s explore the world together.
Welcome aboard,
Blanche

A Little More About Me
When I’m not planning my next adventure, you’ll usually find me dreaming about future destinations, researching travel tips, creating travel-inspired content, or working on new creative projects.
I love writing, cooking, and baking, and I especially enjoy tackling carpentry and home improvement projects. There’s something incredibly satisfying about creating, building, and transforming a space with your own hands. Whether I’m exploring a new destination, trying a new recipe, writing a story, or building something around my home. Being a life-long learner, I enjoy learning new things and embracing new experiences.
I believe it’s never too late to explore somewhere new, try something different, or step outside your comfort zone. Some of my favorite travel memories include wandering through historic cities, discovering charming small towns, enjoying local food, and finding those unexpected moments that often become the most memorable parts of a trip.
Published Works & Creative Projects
In addition to my travel writing, I am a published contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, with two personal stories featured in publication.
I am also the creator of the Window Seat Therapist™ collection of travel-inspired products, including the Color Your Way Around the World adult coloring book series, the My Adventure Series™ children’s coloring books, travel journals, and printable resources designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and confidence through travel.
Through writing, storytelling, and creative projects, my goal is to inspire others to embrace new experiences, step outside their comfort zones, and discover the joy that travel can bring.
